It’s Not True Because “You’ve Heard”

June 29, 2008 at 11:29 pm · Filed under random, rant

Don’t even ASK what brought my little storm of writing on because I’ll explode into a million pieces and then catch you on fire.

The internet is a huge resource, literally. Kids use it for homework help. People show off graphics, make personal blogs, research, and create websites for people’s own uses.

But, what have your parents told you? “Just because Sally SAYS your hair is ugly doesn’t mean that it is!” And that’s true with the internet. If your best friend says that you can’t write worth a shit doesn’t mean that you can’t write worth a shit! (if you do then work on it! :))

And, even more so, if you find an article that says “Mr. Geeeo of oBlahBlah Inc is a mass murder BECAUSE I HEARD IT ON THE INTERNET!” then you really ought to think Gee! Where’s the proof of that? The internet? Who said it? One person? One religion? Where’s the proof behind it?

All these articles I’ve read are not full. They aren’t giving proof and calling it an argument.

So…
I’ve decided to make a contest.

Give me an article, preferably involving your views on the war-even more credit IF it’s a response to this report. I want evidence to back up your opinions (and I don’t want “I HEARD,” I want an actual piece of evidence such a picture, video, or linked quote), I want quotes (please give sources) and I certainly want it to be good.

I’ll post more info on the Contests Page. Email entries to me at jeansenglish@yahoo.com

Please me, please. ;)

New: Stories Section

June 27, 2008 at 3:06 pm · Filed under personal, random, site

This new page that I made–the Stories Page–is just like any other page, but the writings on it are fictional. Only one will be displayed at a time, and they will be on going. The current story is The Legend Of Panama, which is the story of a vampire that doesn’t know nor want to be a vampire, but a notorious gang of vampires aren’t really letting up on her. Kind of a rip off of Wanted.

With that out of my head, as anyone seen that movie yet? You know, Wanted? The one “Eternity Of Assassins?” it’s in the box office today, and I MUST SEE IT! It’s so hard to see a movie with an original plot and I’d LOVE to watch it. I’ll look up the reviews on it soon, and if I see it I’ll write one of my own.

If anyone’s seen it, tell me about it okay?

Also, pretty please…comment? :p

Leave The Poor Cursor Alone!

June 27, 2008 at 12:51 am · Filed under personal, random, site

For some strange reason, I’ve had that one little song by Finger Eleven stuck in my head. You know, the one that goes…

I’m not paralyzed but I seem to be struck by you, I wanna make you move because you’re standin still…

If your body can do what your eyes can do, you’ll probably move right through me on my way to you…”

But OF COURSE I don’t know the title of that lovely, addictive song. PLEASE post the title so I can download it.

And, in other news, have you heard that song from Rihanna’s new CD, Reloaded? It’s called Disturbia and I LOVE it.

Also, I wrote a new article..

Stop the crosshair!

Back From The “Surprise”

June 25, 2008 at 9:49 pm · Filed under personal, reporter, summer

Well, the surprise was actually fairly fun, so I’ll give you a full recap on what we did!

First, we started driving off towards the movie theater….Okay-so WHY was I forced to wear Tennis Shoes? But we went through the roads beyond it, which confused me a little more. With so many twists and turns in the road, I had half a mind to think we were headed for New York, for pete’s sake…

And then we stopped.

Slowly I looked around, seeing a Chiptole and a sub shop, but neither made any sense. But I saw my favorite BBQ place, and we ate there. After leaving, I asked why we weren’t heading home. The surprise actually wasn’t done!

We went for more of weaving turns, roads, and alleys, finally we ended up in a very large parking lot. I looked straight ahead-and the bowling alley!

Don’t get me wrong, but I LOVE bowling. By myself, because, I hate loosing. It makes me feel small and stupid, naive and undeserving. But, I got a slushie and enjoyed my time there consisting of three games, all of which I was dead last in.

So, all in all I had a goodtime, and I think I’ll work on the content for a while.

Like I Know!

June 25, 2008 at 4:55 pm · Filed under personal, summer

Just popping in some time to post a quick blog. My current summer care taker is taking Gwen and I to some mystery surprise and, so, as you’d imagine, I’m fairly excited. I hate surprises on the other hand, though, because surprises require me to be patient (aka me act like I’m from hell and I’m a motionless, mute zombie).

As you may have guessed, I hate being patient. I’m more of a “I’m here, so let’s do what we have to do NOW” person (another reason why I’m NEVER GOING TO BE A LAWYER) so surprises, though they can turn out fun, are NOT SO FUN.

I was going to ask some friends to come with me and Gwen to the “mystery” but somebody won’t answer their phone so screw that idea. I’m all dressed up, in what the care taker calls “proper mystery attire” (aka an orange tee shirt, orange skort, tennis shoes and a baseball cap).

Usually I would have dressed in something a little cuter, perhaps something from the Women’s section at Gap?

Where are you going, Lish? Surely, you MUST know your destination! But, nope.

Well, I’ll tell you all how it goes! Wish me luck! :)

Insecure, Much?

June 25, 2008 at 1:50 am · Filed under personal, site

Well well well.

I decided that I was going to break down and edit one of Wordpress’s beautiful themes. I like this one, and I edited it to my liking. It’s beautiful in all browsers, and I have credit to the guy who made this.

The big news right now is that I’ll now be able to add some new content! That means articles, reviews-whatever YOU GUYS want! So I want people commenting and telling me what they want. I’m uploading some stock images, ect, so that’ll be on my graphics section on my content page.

So please tell me what you guys want!

Thanks,

Miss Clark does it again!

June 22, 2008 at 6:25 pm · Filed under Reviews, personal, site

In Miss Mary Higgins Clark’s stunning book, Two Little Girls In Blue, two parents leave for a black tie dinner in New York. When they come back, police officers rush to the house, turning it into a wild nightmare. The babysister is gagged, bound, and unconscious. Their three year old twin girls are gone and in their room is a ransom note signed Peter Piper, demanding eight million dollars for their safe release.

Steve (father)’s company pays the ransom quickly, trying to get some good press. Unfortunately, only Kelly is returned and a suicide note is found, saying the kidnapper accidentally killed Kathy.

At the memorial, Kelly laps into the twin talk she and her sister shared and told her mother (Margaret) that “Kathy is very scared of that lady. She wants to come home right now.”

Many people believe Margaret is insane for believing her, but soon the warnings become very clear and alarming. FBI agents set out on desperate searches, and soon whatever Kelly says is happening to Kathy, is happening to her. The twins are tele communicating and were once conjoined…but when one of the kidnappers is caught, he admits his girlfriend started hating Kathy, and so he put them both in a van and drove them off a pier…

Will Kathy be able to survive (she’s ill) long enough for the agents to find her? What will happen to Kelly? And will the mastermind be caught?

Overall Rating: 9/10. With few flaws, this is a masterpiece!

I always love SNL!

June 22, 2008 at 3:43 am · Filed under personal, random, site

YESSS!

11:40 P.M and WOOT! What’s on? Saturday Night Live, of course! It’s just about my favorite show, because it’s always funny and I never get offended. Though it does come on late, it’s just about the funniest thing I’ve ever watched besides Top Gear.

Sitewise, I’m going to add some site templates for free. The first one will be “Midnight Stroll” and I’ll hopefully use some nice little CSS tricks.

OMG-someone on SNL just slapped someone! LMFAO LMFAO! :) As you can tell, I’m pretty hyper right now, so my writing might not be too sturdy…

Everybody Deserves (rant)

June 22, 2008 at 12:04 am · Filed under personal, rant, site, summer

First off, Casee from myaero.org is SHEER EVIL for getting Misery Business stuck in my head! :P

For the more substantial information, I made a new Anime Banner. I found it very fun to make. If you’re wondering what programs I used:

1. Anime Girl-MS Paint
2. Banner, text, ect (everything BUT the anime girl)-Photoshop Elements 4.0

Rant-Everybody Deserves
Sooner or later, in your life, no matter how perfect is-you’ve done something naughty. You know, something that is just wrong and you know it.

Yesterday, one of my friends-Lindsay to be exact, was acting like a “gold digger” again, and my friends and I planned a horrid plan to tear her apart.

Well, it worked and this afternoon I told her everything about it. She forgave me for it, and thanked me for being honest.

So, you may be wondering, what is the lesson? Why is this rant called Everybody Deserves?

Because. Let’s show a clip of my conversation with one of the friends.

“The reason I told her is because what we did was wrong. Everybody deserves something, and to be told the truth.”

Now, I’m not talking about that war. You get what you get if you decide that you’re going to bomb our buildings and kill thousands of parents. Yea yea, for that go to hell. But, honesty, in every day life, is important. At one point, you have to draw that line in your mind between what is play and what is being just plain mean.

My friend replied, “She doesn’t.”

That-that, is wrong.

I’d call this a HUGE success!

June 21, 2008 at 1:32 pm · Filed under personal, site, summer

All is well, for me at least, and if not you, well, you’d better make it well before I do it for ya.

You’re probably hovering over the thoughts like “what the hell happened?” or “why the hell is she so happy?” so I’ll explain.

First off, I’d call this revamp a nice little success. I don’t use celeb images anymore, I fixed my coding-I did a good job, if I do say so myself.

It hasn’t been too hot in the Midwest. Thank GOD. Not humid, not hot…just warm. Not hot. It’s beautiful, and sometimes even some rain!

And, if you haven’t already come up with a hunch-I’m reading another novel by Marry Higgins Clark-this one is called Two Little Girls in Blue and it’s a thrilling story that would send any parent into over protective mode.

Well, sorry for the short blog. I’m now focusing on content!
