I Can’t Do Better, Girlfriend!

July 24, 2008 at 2:52 am · Filed under personal, reporter, summer

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got back from Avril Lavigne’s concert, and I am truly amazed at how talented she was. She began with Girlfriend (and she was ad libbing, so she wasn’t lip singing) and then broke into a truly amazing introduction and started explaining about her songs. Next she sang Complicated, which she sang like an Angel. After that she broke into an amazing chorus of songs, mainly old ones like He Wasn’t, I’m With You, Everything Back But You, but mixing it with songs from the Best Damn Thing.

She ended amazingly with Skater Boi, and I must say that she is one of the most amazing artists I’ll ever hear. The concert price was well worth it.

Well, well, IT WAS….

July 21, 2008 at 9:55 pm · Filed under personal, reporter, summer

The Smokies were overall amazing. The beautiful view I had, the second I opened my eyes, to see the pink smoke and the rolling mountains that peaked high. The overly stunning watch tower. The exciting, chilly White Water Rapids in North Carolina–everything. I took pictures and I am currently awaiting them to upload, so more of that coming soon.

Well, just yesterday, I was out driving with Gwen and my caretaker, in the second row, in the middle of our van—and as I looked at the console, I saw something…moving, yellowish thing towards Gwen’s hand. Terrified, I screamed as loud as I could, for in my eyes it was a Devil in the form of a bug that was coming to kill!

My caretaker’s face paled as he struggled to control the vehicle. Gwen, too, cried out as she saw the HUGE THING crawling towards her hand. She threw down her hat atop it and lunged in the back.

“What on earth is it? You’re lucky that I did not crash!” That was what I numbly heard as I cowered in my fear as we pulled into a gas station.

“A HUGE HUGE HUGE CRAWLIN THING THAT’S COMING TO KILL US!” Gwen and I had the same voice, terrified, and just about to pass out from our….stress, you could call it.

He prepared himself to…..terminate the so called huge bug. Gwen and I lunged onto the grass outside the van, taking cover.

Laughter ran out seconds later, and stares glared at us from all around.

“You fools! It was a Junebug!”

Purposes

July 5, 2008 at 2:32 am · Filed under personal, random, reporter, summer

I just got back from the magnificent fireworks show in my town, and I must say I’m dazzled. (Still dazzled too, because I’m watching the Boston Pops Fireworks Show on TV!) Onto the actual purpose of this blog!

To be honest, you probably will only get a limited description of some of these beautiful fireworks from me. I’ll try my best. Here I go!

Rings of gold shimmy up into the sky, finally as they tire out turning into red white and blue. Green and pink fade away into the smoky skies as five different colors of blues, from velvety to baby blue, to the lightest rays of dawn to a midnight wine. They come to a skidding halt and we roar as gold erupts into shimmering falling stars of the rainbow. Limitless and priceless.

Well, that’s not it for this blog. Not so fast. I’m now going to tell you the reason I care so much about independence this year.

This year, as we became more in need of soldiers–people that I love and know and care about joined the US Army to go of to the Middle East. The terrorists pressed on with their ruthless killing and attacks, not stopping for anything.

No matter what, America is a country and we fought for our independence, and we will keep fighting. Every single year I see these fireworks, I know we have made it through another year as a country.

And we will be that.

What A Terrible Excuse For A Blog…

July 2, 2008 at 4:24 pm · Filed under personal, random, reporter, site, summer

Well, after MANY hours of inspecting a photo I concluded that my cat has come down with a case of InsideAPhobiaOfSummeria!

The photo was taken by Pro T–a mysterious woman who lives in my neighborhood in California–and is reported to have found her lying in one of the few DIRT PATCHES in the yard! How unbelievably shocking! :O

What Is InsideAPhobiaOfSummer? It’s a terrible illness where a calico cat named Lily, Lish’s Calico Cat, is too addicted to rolling in dirt spots than to go inside and lounge around in air conditioning!

What If My Cat Gets This Illness?! your cat won’t because she’s not nearly as lazy as Lily!

——————–

Okay, enough of being a clown. You can view Pro T’s photo at:

And yes, I miss my cat dearly. How do you all like her?

Back From The “Surprise”

June 25, 2008 at 9:49 pm · Filed under personal, reporter, summer

Well, the surprise was actually fairly fun, so I’ll give you a full recap on what we did!

First, we started driving off towards the movie theater….Okay-so WHY was I forced to wear Tennis Shoes? But we went through the roads beyond it, which confused me a little more. With so many twists and turns in the road, I had half a mind to think we were headed for New York, for pete’s sake…

And then we stopped.

Slowly I looked around, seeing a Chiptole and a sub shop, but neither made any sense. But I saw my favorite BBQ place, and we ate there. After leaving, I asked why we weren’t heading home. The surprise actually wasn’t done!

We went for more of weaving turns, roads, and alleys, finally we ended up in a very large parking lot. I looked straight ahead-and the bowling alley!

Don’t get me wrong, but I LOVE bowling. By myself, because, I hate loosing. It makes me feel small and stupid, naive and undeserving. But, I got a slushie and enjoyed my time there consisting of three games, all of which I was dead last in.

So, all in all I had a goodtime, and I think I’ll work on the content for a while.

I’m also going to post a Book Review of “Loves Music, Loves To Dance” by Mary Higgins Clark.

But, first, I’m going to update a little bit…

Road Diaries (whole entry written on road)

June 10, 2008 at 5:00 am · Filed under personal, rant, reporter

Think I’ve had fun so far?!
First off, my mom’s interview went great (and, umm…in my opinion that is the only thing right now).

After a quick scout of the desert, shrubs, and DEAD CACTUS-we decided that we should look at houses!

Now, I’m all for house hunting. It’s a common thing-and it is a great time to think. But, no, there are not “houses” down here. No, there are “estates”.

If you’ve heard, California’s real estate is plummeting. Good for buyers-horrid for sellers. Now, if I can get a 4 bedroom, 3 bath for 180,000-what could I get down here for around 300,000?

First off, I assure you that you will call me “trash” by the end of this blog. It’s hard to explain, but I can only put this place in words.

The stage is set here, with dust, weeds, dead cacti, and beat down trailers. Mountains that seem glossy and golden, including the Grapevine, overlook. Oil is being mined, food is cooked, teachers teach-and, of course, houses are sold and bought.

We suddenly appeared into what is called “the burbs” but to me it was like someone had knocked me out and shoved me into a truck that delivered me to Beverly Hills-the people of “servant’s quarters” the people of long limos parked in their oversized, fifteen car garages; the riches.

In the Burbs, of course.

I just assumed…okay. This is…good, right? I mean, real estate is crashing so I can buy huge houses for, oh, say, 345,000 with landscaping?

That thought blew up when I saw the sign for “Estates”. The people of iron gates leading into their “estatehood”. The people of…SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.

True enough, I haven’t been to Southern California for a few years. But either way, I know that it’s not Beverly Hills until you pass the Grapevine.

I mean…THIS TOWN is NOT BEVERLY HILLS. And you’re telling me that just because you married a Sugar Daddy you get to sit in your house’s private SPA?! IN THE SMACK MIDDLE OF THE DESERT?! Give me a break.

I wondered for a while. I saw beautiful houses with horrendous price tags on them. The cheapest and “appalling” seven car, ten bed, five bath-was about 1.5million.

Excuse me…but where the FUCK do the normal people live?!

In case you haven’t noticed, palm trees are tacky if you don’t live the ocean and so is a mini golf course on your front lawn. You’re in a damn real estate depression and you don’t have a worry because Daddy is the CEO of some oil company?!

I’m actually writing this as my mom is driving us around; and I’ll post it when I get internet.

It’s funny to think about-me, a modest girl who just so happens to have an education-becoming a Southern California Heiress?! I just can’t wrap my mind about it, and it probably won’t happen anytime soon.

Ah. A beautiful view I have right now. (we’ve past all the estates…heading for the mountains I think.)

The road goes over some smalls hills covered in dried, golden grass. On either side of us, long, green crops barely alive expand with dairies, stopping at an oil mine every mile or so. Mountains cascade down upon us, glowing and basking in the sun’s rays that electrify them to the extent of me squinting. The look like the lumps in bread when its rising.

Streaks of gold, dry crops splash into areas of the green crops. Every now and then, there is a tree, but not many are in sight.

We’re heading for the mountains, I think looking at some more houses, or looking for a hotel or something. I don’t know, really-I got up at four A.M, as I will tomorrow to drive back.

What lies in the future-unknown, but adventure that I will love and remember no matter what.

Okay.

It’s eight PM now. CRAP. MY MOM HAS TO BACK OUT OF THIS MESS I’M SORRY THAT I’LL DIE ON THIS ROAD. AH FUCK….

Sorry for that outburst…the mountain roads are winding around now and we had to go in reverse to get out.

It’s completely changed now-the setting. Log cabins and huge trees surround us…it’s so beautiful. I want to move here-I can imagine it. Waking up and sitting at the table, glancing out the kitchen window and seeing the mountains extend farther south. We have so many house options, and I love so many! Well, I’m trying to persuade mom to get us to a hotel-oh, good! We’re going to get a hotel, finally. Now if only I can persuade her not to leave by seven A.M-poor woman needs the sleep. She’s been driving all day, and then that interview….

I sound like such a dork lmfao. Who am I, pretending to be such a good writer?

Well, I think I’ll get on runescape as soon as I post this and check email, ect.

Goodnight, all!

We Will Rock You&the shame of shame

June 7, 2008 at 10:53 pm · Filed under personal, random, rant, reporter

Site updates-none at the time

Well, after hearing some interesting political gossip from my neighbors, aka Scary Larry (don’t ask). I’ve decided to make a rant/report.

We Will Rock You

My family, throughout the generations on both sides-has been affiliated with the US Army. Both of my parents, sister, and myself have medical problems that prevent us from joining the Army-a major disappointment to me as well as my parents and sister. The term “We Will Rock You” is a term used throughout the military. Most of you will call it “a good song and nothing else” but to me it is symbolic. It long sip of spring water in the driest of the deserts- “candy for my starving soul” .

Now, this is not a matter of being patriotic or not. This is a matter, of in my opinion-your soul and your roots. Even if you are the most un patriotic person in the USA, your family was affiliated with the military once a dear long upon ago. The American Revolution, for instance. Both sides were somehow impacted by the war. Other countries were as well.

So, sometime you are affiliated with the military.

“Your only shame is to have shame” is a quote for a children’s story by Amy Lee. Perhaps you’ve heard of “The Lee Sisters” aka “the chinese shirley temples”.

Now, in the USA, we are currently having an election. Personally, both sides (not the candidates, the voters) have good reasons for their choosing. It’s not like one side is better, ect. It’s about your roots.

My roots personally date WAAAAAAYYYYYYYY back to Germany. A beer making family, I must admit. I am actually very proud of almost everything my family has done in the past. My roots, are German and Irish (german from my mom. irish from my father. see why I’m semi CRAZY?!) but I generally look more Irish than German, but personally my crazy attitude I think is GERMAN.

I also have strange cravings for strange meats-deer meat, rabbit meat, ect. (and I will drive all the damn way to damned San Francisco to get it!) Which, as you may have guessed.

Now, my family doesn’t get drunk. Some people would immediately stamp my file “CRAZY GERMAN MILITARY LADY FROM BEER MAKING FAMILY” and throw it into a fire and stab the ashes with pitch forks, but I AM proud of my heritage. Hell, I would wear a “I come from a beer making family” and “Beer is Living Proof That God Loves Us” shirt if I could find the magazine with them in it…

Heritage-something, we may tuck into our soul and change our hair color for (my red hair is still 100% what I’ve had since I was born). We, somehow, somewhere-are still the person that we are because of our roots. We believe in what we believe because somewhere, our roots connect to our soul and create that.

And, so, even if my beliefs do not match all of my family’s-it still comes from my family.

To be shameless is to be, so called, golden.
